What is the practical difference between Low Frequency and Ultra High Frequency RFID?

The practical difference between Low Frequency (LF) and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) RFID lies in their respective operating frequencies and applications. LF RFID operates at a lower frequency range (typically 125 kHz) and is ideal for short-range communication. It is commonly used for access control, animal identification, and asset tracking in close proximity.

On the other hand, UHF RFID operates at a much higher frequency range (usually 860-960 MHz) and offers a longer read range. UHF RFID is well-suited for inventory management, supply chain tracking, and retail applications, where items need to be identified and monitored over greater distances and in higher volumes.

In summary, LF RFID is suitable for short-range applications, while UHF RFID is more advantageous for longer-range tracking and identification needs, making them distinct solutions catering to specific use cases.
